I'm Randi and I am the owner of My Comfy Kid. I
live in Atlanta, GA with my loving husband, Isaac and my beautiful son,
Jacob who was born in December 2006. I knew before my son
was born that I would want to wear him. I loved the idea of
wearing my baby to calm him, have him close to me and have my hands free
to get chores done. When he was
still a newborn, I tried wearing him in a "Baby Bjorn" carrier
for a few weeks. However, after just a few minutes my back and shoulders ached. I thought to myself that there must
be something else out there that would be more comfortable to me and
thus my search began... I found the Mei Tai! I was so excited to find a
carrier that was
easy to use and would distribute my baby's weight onto my hips and not
just my shoulders and it could be used with the tiniest
newborn and still work for a large toddler. I couldn't wait to get my
new Mei Tai, but I was also skeptical that I could find a carrier that wouldn't
cause me to hurt after just a few minutes. Well, my Mei Tai arrived and
I was in heaven. I walked my son around the block for an hour and no
pain! Now my son is 20+ pounds and I still wear him daily and my husband
wears him in it as well. I started this business because I want to share my
babywearing love with others.
